Every Wednesday, students meet in homes around Chiang Mai to open Scripture, be known, and grow into people who help others follow Jesus. Student Leaders guide the Bible discussion, and Adult Mentors prepare them during the week.

Groups meet in homes. Each one has its own personality, but the schedule stays the same from week to week.

Why Anchor works
The pattern comes from Scripture.
Jesus tells his followers to make disciples. Paul tells Timothy to pass what he has learned to people who will teach others.
Every Anchor group follows that pattern each week. Adult Mentors prepare Student Leaders during the week. The Student Leaders lead on Wednesday. Host homes make honest conversation easier. We want students to leave Anchor knowing how to study Scripture with someone else.

How Anchor handles student safety
Safety makes honest Christian community possible. Each group has an Adult Mentor and a host adult present; serving adults are screened and trained, home addresses stay private, and parents receive group information directly from the Mentor.

Who can join an Anchor group?
Students in grades 6–10 are welcome, from any school or homeschool community in Chiang Mai.
What happens on a typical Wednesday?
Groups make room for fun, open the Bible together, discuss how it connects to life, and break into smaller circles to share and pray. Meetings last 90 minutes.
Where do groups meet?
Groups meet in ordinary homes, usually around the south side of Chiang Mai. Many rotate among two or three host homes. Registered families receive the location directly each week; home addresses are never posted publicly.
Who leads the groups?
Each group has an Adult Mentor and usually two to four trained Student Leaders. The Mentor invests in the Student Leaders each week; the Student Leaders prepare and lead much of Wednesday evening.
Is Anchor part of a school?
No. Anchor began years ago from a school program, but today it is an independent, parent- and community-run ministry. The calendar is planned around the school year.
What does the ฿300 annual fee cover?
The participant fee supports leader training, venue and food costs, end-of-year activities, and other shared Anchor expenses. Families who need help may request sponsorship.
Do hosts teach or provide snacks?
No. Hosts provide a welcoming space and an adult presence in the home. Mentors and Student Leaders lead the program, and parents rotate snacks.
What does Anchor teach?
Groups study Scripture and focus on the shared essentials of the Christian faith. Each Mentor and Student Leader team chooses a Bible book or topic suited to its group.
