Being discipled
A younger believer is known, encouraged, and shown what it can look like to follow Jesus.
Vision + mission
Anchor is a Christian community where students open Scripture, belong to one another, and learn to help someone else follow Jesus. Everyone who pours into someone is also being poured into.
See where you fitVision
We hope students practice a way of following Jesus that continues long after Anchor. They are discipled, find a place to belong, learn to lead, and begin discipling others.
The goal is not simply to finish a program. It is to build a culture in which making disciples becomes a normal part of Christian life.
A younger believer is known, encouraged, and shown what it can look like to follow Jesus.
Students find honest Christian friendship in a home where they can ask questions, pray, and grow.
Leaders are given real responsibility, room to try, and coaching that helps them grow.
What students receive is practiced and shared with someone younger.
Mission
Anchor creates a place where students experience Christian fellowship and are steadily equipped to help others follow Jesus.
A Wednesday night includes fun, worship, prayer, Scripture, discussion, testimony, and encouragement. Smaller groups make room for students to be seen, heard, known, and valued.
Groups do more than learn Bible content. They ask what the passage means and how to live it.
Small groups give students room to talk about real life, encourage one another, and pray.
Student Leaders carry meaningful responsibility while Adult Mentors coach, correct, and encourage them.
Hospitality lowers the pressure. An ordinary living room can become a place of trust and Christian friendship.
Values
Worship, Scripture, prayer, relationships, and leadership begin and end with Jesus.
We study the Bible to know God and put his Word into practice.
Students are welcomed, known, listened to, and given a place to belong.
We share what God is teaching us instead of pretending to have every answer.
Plans matter, but people are the ministry.
Homes, food, time, prayer, and practical help are offered across the community.
Students are invited to receive, practice, and pass on what they are learning.
Leaders receive real responsibility together with preparation, feedback, and support.
We speak honestly, forgive freely, and take faithful risks as we grow.
Clear adult presence, screening, training, and privacy help honest community grow.
Groups prepare carefully and stay ready to respond to the students in front of them.
Mentors, Student Leaders, hosts, parents, and the wider Anchor team carry the ministry together.
