What families need to know
Anchor meets on Wednesday nights from September through April. Students in grades 6–10 gather in grade- and gender-based groups in host homes around Chiang Mai.

How Anchor works
Adult Mentors prepare Student Leaders during the week.
On Wednesday, those Student Leaders lead younger students through Scripture, conversation, and prayer. Adult Mentors stay present and help when needed.
Jesus calls Christians to make disciples. We want students to learn that work while they are young: open the Bible with someone else, ask a good question, pray honestly, and keep showing up.
A typical night
Wednesday, 6:30–8:00 PM

Student Leaders guide the group through a passage and connect it with ordinary life.
7:30 · Share + pray
Smaller circles make room to be known, ask honest questions, and pray for each other.
8:00 · Head home
Groups finish on time so families and host homes can count on the evening.
Groups + homes
How groups and host homes work
Students are placed in grade- and gender-based groups, usually with 15–25 students. Groups meet in host homes around Chiang Mai and may rotate among two or three homes.
Locations stay private
Families receive the weekly address directly from their Mentor. Home addresses are never posted publicly.
Parents share the ministry
Families help create a welcoming community by encouraging leaders, opening homes when possible, and taking turns providing a simple snack.
New students are welcome
A student may visit first. We collect family contact information before the next meeting.
Student safety
What Anchor asks of adults
Mentors
Complete an application, references, a background-check process, and child-protection training.
Hosts
Receive clear home and child-safety expectations before a group meets there.
Parents
Receive group communication and locations directly, and arrange prompt pickup at 8:00 PM.
2026–27
Registration for 2026–27
The first Anchor night is Wednesday, September 9. The full-year participant fee is ฿300 and helps cover training meals, Anchor-wide gatherings, end-of-year activities, and other shared program expenses.
Sponsorship is available; cost should never keep a student from participating. Registration is open now: submit one form per student, and group placement details will be emailed to families before the first meeting.
